Both teams cranked out the yardage on the ground this week and for the seventh time in nine games the Patriots piled up more total yards than their opponent. Lincoln County had a total of 375 total yards on offense (318 rushing and 57 passing), while giving up 269 yards to Russell County (215 rushing and 54 passing).
The Patriots are now 7-2 on the season and 2-1 in district play. They wrapped up district play with a #2 seed for the playoffs and will host Perry County Central in the first round in two weeks.
The Patriots are outscoring their opponents by an average of 28 to 23; they are out rushing them on an average of 206 to 106; but are giving up more passing yards than they’re gaining at 197-123.
