A Lincoln County man was arrested on multiple counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, according to court records.
Ronald Abney, 81, was arrested Sept. 2 by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Price.
Deputies responded to reports of a possible sexual assault in regards to a minor. The deputy spoke with the mother of the juvenile and then traveled to Abney’s residence.
When law enforcement arrived, Abney allegedly told the deputy they could take him to jail.
Abney allegedly confessed to sexually abusing the minor approximately 15 to 20 times within a two-year period.
“While speaking with the male he was very open about all of the allegations and did not seem phased by his actions,” the citation states.
Abney was arrested and charged with 15 counts of sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12 and 3 counts of use of a minor (under 18) in a sexual performance.
He is currently lodged in the Casey County Detention Center. No bond has been set at this time.
