Wreck leaves two in critical condition

There are two people in critical condition following a collision on U.S. 150 in Lincoln County on Sunday.

The collision occurred on U.S. 150 as a pickup truck was crossing from Copper Creek Road to Edwards Road, according to Chief Deputy Michael Mullins.

“It came into the path of an SUV that was eastbound and caused that vehicle to collide on the passenger side,” he said.

Two people were injured and were still in critical condition as of yesterday, Mullins said.

One person was transported to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital for minor injuries.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected to be contributing factors at this time, Mullins said.

Lincoln County Fire Chief Eric Davidson said the roadway was closed for about an hour as they halted traffic to allow AirEvac to land and transport the patients.

The Lincoln County Fire Department, Lincoln County EMS, Stanford EMS, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
