A multi-county pursuit ended in Lincoln County after the suspect crashed into a guard rail near Veterans Park.
Ethan R. Lyttle, 18, of Nicholasville was arrested at about 2 p.m. on July 30 in Lincoln County after leading law enforcement on a chase that began in Laurel County.
According to the arrest citation, the incident began with a domestic situation in Laurel County. Lyttle then traveled through Rockcastle County before he was seen by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon McIntosh on U.S. Hwy. 150 traveling at a high rate of speed.
“I observed the above (Lyttle) on U.S. Hwy. 150 at (a) very high rate of speed, passing in the oncoming lane as he passed me as I was off to the shoulder of the road,” the citation states.
McIntosh became lead in the pursuit during which speeds reached over 133 miles per hour. The pursuit continued heading west toward Stanford.
“The above (Lyttle) passed several more vehicles in the oncoming lane,” the citation states.
Lyttle over-corrected, missing a vehicle that was pulling out from Goshen Road, almost hitting it.
“Once the above over-corrected, he lost control of the vehicle, hitting the guardrail,” the citation states.
Lyttle was arrested and charged with the following: reckless driving; improperly on left side of road; fleeing or evading police; and wanton endangerment. According to the Pulaski County Detention Center website, Lyttle was also charged by other authorities with operating a motor vehicle under the influence; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and criminal mischief.
