Due to ongoing construction at Lincoln County High School (LCHS) a few changes have been made to student drop off.
Starting this week, students will no longer be dropped off at the lower level of the parking lot, according to a press release from LCHS.
Instead, parents will need to make the turn past the bus garage to the upper level of the parking lot.
Students will be dropped off between parking spaces 40 – 71 (the area in front of the gym entrance).
“If a middle school student is also dropped off, they will be dropped off at the same location and will be directed to parking space 11 and 12 to cross over to the middle school sidewalk,” the statement said.
After drop off, parent will continue forward and exit the same way they entered the school.
Parents will not be able to drive through the high school to the middle school at this time.
“There will be several high school staff on had to help this change and assist parents and students,” the statement said.
The Stanford Police Department said construction is expected to continue for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
“A new traffic pattern has been established on campus and may impact both northbound and southbound traffic on U.S. 27, especially during school arrival and dismissal times,” the press release states.
SPD asks that you plan ahead and leave at least 10 minutes early to help keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently.
“Your patience and cooperation will help ensure the safety of students, staff, and drivers during this construction period,” the department said.
