The following people were indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury on Aug. 14:
• Bruce W. Fields, 62, of Chipley, FL: one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (enhanced with firearm) on April 3, by allegedly knowingly and unlawfully possessing over 2 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, sell or transfer while in possession of a firearm; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia; one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (enhanced with firearm) by knowingly and unlawfully possessing under 20 dosage unites of Alprazolam with intent to distribute, sell or transfer while in possession of a firearm; one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; and speeding. Bond was set at $20,000. Chief Deputy Michael Mullins testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
• Bethany A. Lynn, 38, of Stanford: one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (over 2 grams of methamphetamine) on Aug. 30, 2025; one count of tampering with physical evidence; one count of being a persistent felony offender; one count of unlawful transaction with a minor by inducing, assisting or causing a minor under 18 years old to engage in illegal controlled substance activity; one count of unlawful transaction with a minor (under 16) by inducing, assisting or causing a minor to engage in illegal controlled substance activity; and one count of criminal abuse by knowingly abusing a person under the age of 12 years old thereby causing physical injury or placing her in a situation that may cause serious physical injury. Bond was set at $25,000. Lynn is to have no contact with the minors involved. Chief Deputy Michael Mullins testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
• Gerald Burchfield, 34, of Stanford: one count of bail jumping by failing to appear on a felony charge on June 12 and one count of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities on July 5, 2025. Bond was set at $50,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
