Friday was a day of celebration and recognition in Lincoln County as two longtime public servants celebrated their retirement.

After 24 years as the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Director, Andrea Miller is passing the baton. Her replacement is expected to be announced sometime next week.

A retirement party was held for Miller at the Wellness Center in Veterans Park Friday.

At Stanford City Hall, another retirement party was being held in honor of Bonnie Kolasa. Kolasa has served as Assistant City Clerk in Stanford for the last seven years. Before that, Kolasa was a longtime employee at The Interior Journal newspaper where she worked for over 40 years.

The City of Stanford wrote on social media that there is no one more dependable, trustworthy and loyal than Kolasa.

“Congratulations Bonnie,” the city wrote on Facebook. “We wish you all the best and send all our love, prayers and support in your new adventure!”
