Hustonville man arrested on drug-trafficking charge in Danville

A Hustonville man was arrested in Danville on drug-trafficking charges, according to the Boyle County Sheriff’s office.

Kevin S. Lay, 44, of Hustonville, was arrested on Feb. 9 in Danville.

Deputies with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in Danville for minor traffic violations.

“During the course of the stop, deputies developed probable cause and conducted an investigation which resulted in the seizure of approximately 2.9 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

As a result of the investigation, Lay was arrested and charged with several traffic violations, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

He was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

“The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to combating illegal drug actiity and protecting the citizens of our community,” the statement said.
