Guatemalan man indicted for unlawful transaction with minor in Stanford

A Lincoln County grand jury has indicted a Guatemalan man for attempting to engage in illegal sexual activity with a minor less than 16 years old.

Danilo Lopez Gomez, 26, of Simpsonville, was indicted on March 13 on one count unlawful transaction with a minor.

According to the indictment, Gomez allegedly attempted to induce, assist or cause a minor less than 16 years old to engage in illegal sexual activity on Jan. 14.

Gomez was arrested by Stanford Police at a motel after he was approached by the group KyPredoPursuit. Gomez had allegedly been talking to a decoy who was pretending to be a 14 year old girl. He had allegedly been chatting with the decoy since September.

The KyPredoPursuit group video records their interactions with these alleged child predators and posts them on YouTube. In the text messages shown by the group, Gomez acknowledges the decoy’s age as 14 years old and proceeds to send explicit photos of his private parts. He also states that he is an undocumented immigrant.

Officer Jay Eldridge testified for the Stanford Police Department before a grand jury. A bond has been set for $10,000. Gomez is currently lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.

The following people were also indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury on March 13:

• Nicholas L. Crouch, 37, of Stanford: one count of criminal abuse (first degree) for allegedly intentionally abusing a person less than 12 years old on Dec. 12, 2025, causing physical injury or placing the child in a situation that may cause serious physical injury, or cause torture, cruel confinement or cruel punishment. Bond was set at $25,000. Officer Jonathan Milburn testified for the Stanford Police Department.

• Dakota B. Means, 34, of Stanford: one count of trafficking in a controlled substance on Sept. 28, 2025 (methamphetamine or a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl); one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (oxycodone); one count of possession of drug paraphernalia; and one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence or alcohol or drugs. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Donald E. Miller, Jr., 50, of Waynesburg: one count of being a persistent felony offender (first degree) on July 12, 2025. Bond was set at $10,000. Chief Deputy Michael Mullins testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. f

• Gregory B. Cochran, 56, of Liberty: one count of possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 16, 2025 (methamphetamine) and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000. Chief Deputy Michael Mullins testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Gerald Pelkonen, 45, of Stanford: one count of possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 2, 2025 and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Chad Combs testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Elizabeth J. McIntyre, 44, of Frankfort: one count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) on Nov. 23, 2025 and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Chad Combs testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• James L. Terry, 54, of Willisburg: one count of bail jumping on Sept. 26, 2025 for failure to appear on a felony charge in Pulaski County Circuit Court. Bond was set at $5,000. The Lincoln County Circuit Clerk testified.

• James E. Taylor, 58, of Danville: one count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) on Oct. 23, 2025. Bond was set at $5,000. Sgt. Eric Dean testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Ronald D. Mullins, 46, of Mt. Vernon: one count of receiving stolen property on Jan. 28 for allegedly being in possession of moveable property (saw) belonging to Akins Engineering valued at $1,000 or more, knowing it had been stolen and one count of being a persistent felony offender. Bond was set at $10,000. Sgt. Eric Dean testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
