A woman was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies after approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine fell out of her lap during a traffic stop.

Pamela Sullivan, 61, of Stanford was arrested on Dec. 16 following a traffic stop on N. Old Ottenheim Road.

According to the arrest citation, deputies received a tip that Sullivan had methamphetamine on her person. She was observed driving on Ky. Hwy. 1770.

When Chief Deputy Michael Mullins turned onto the road, Sullivan began operating the vehicle in a careless manner and was observed driving in the middle of the road.

“I then conducted a traffic stop,” Mullins said in the arrest citation. “I asked the above subject to step out of the vehicle. Upon her exit, she reached back for a cigarette and then upon exiting the vehicle, she dropped two bags that contained approximately 5 grams of a rock, crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.”

As she was being detained, Sullivan allegedly had a clear package in her hand with a white, crystal substance inside.

“During an interview with the above, she admitted that she was getting the meth for two people tonight and she gets some money out of it,” the citation states. “She also admitted to selling her husband’s Gabapentin. Above (Sullivan) knowingly trafficked narcotics.”

Sullivan was arrested and charged with the following: careless driving; failure to wear seat belt; improper lane usage; trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of a controlled substance.

Mullins was assisted in the arrest by Deputies Logan Smith, Ron Luster, Marcella Luster and Sgt. Eric Dean.
