A local youth pastor at Green River Pentecostal Church has been arrested on several charges after he allegedly called police and confessed to having a sexual relationship with a minor.
Jason Coulter, 48, of Hustonville, was arrested by Kentucky State Police on Aug. 17 after he allegedly called police on Aug. 14 to confess his crimes.
“He stated he met a 17 year old in his youth group at church,” the citation states.
Coulter and the minor began a relationship through Snapchat where they would send nude photographs of themselves to each other, the citation states. Coulter allegedly shared his sexual fantasies with her on the app.
In April, Coulter and the minor met at Veteran’s Park in Mercer County where the two allegedly performed sexual activities on each other. In May, they met at the funeral home in Lincoln County where Coulter serves as Funeral Director. Once off work, Coulter and the minor drove to McKinney and parked across from the dollar store where they made sexual contact again.
“He stated he kept some of these images from images from Snapchat for his fantasies,” the citation states.
The minor was interviewed on Aug. 17 and her statement matched Coulter’s, according to police.
Coulter was arrested and charged with sodomy (third degree); possession of matter sexual performance by minor; promoting a sexual performance by a minor and procuring or promoting use of minor by electronic means.
He is lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Coulter’s information has been taken off of the Green River Pentecostal Church website. Previously the website said Coulter had been a minister of music, youth pastor and senior pastor.
