After a fair-catch on the kickoff, Danville started at their own 30-yard line. On a 4th and less than a yard to go at the 39-yard line. A quarterback sneak seemed to be short of the line to gain but when the ball was spotted, it was a first down by the nose of the football at the 40-yard line. An unsportsmanlike penalty on Lincoln County’s sideline for complaining about penalties, after some questionable no-calls and then an off-setting unsportsmanlike penalty when Danville was clearly in the wrong, moved the Admirals to the Lincoln County 22-yard line.
Then, the Admirals had four straight penalties moving them back to the 43-yard line where they faced second down and 31 yards to go. From there, they connected on a short pass from Dillon Cruver to Trinden Sellers and Seller raced diagonally across the field and tight roped down the sideline to score. Eduardo Cisneros added the kick at the game was tied at 14-14 with 2:45 to play in the first half.
Lincoln started the next drive from their own 17-yard line after a penalty, then Danville committed a roughing the passer penalty moving the ball up to the 32-yard line. From there, Tucker Foster dropped back to pass and heaved one deep behind the Danville defense. It was hauled in by Bob Floyd who turned around and raced into the end zone with 1:45 remaining in the first half. Baker kicked his third PAT and Lincoln County led 21-14.
Danville wasted no time storming back. On the first play of their next drive, they connected on their own 68-yard pass from Dillon Cruver to Jayden Tandy. The kick failed and Lincoln County maintained the lead at 21-20.
Lincoln County got another possession at the end of the half, taking it at their own 25-yard line and got as deep as the 24-yard line before Danville intercepted a errant pass. The Admirals kneed the ball to end the half.

Lincoln County moved to the 38-yard line on a run by Reed Curlis, then a penalty pushed the Patriots back to the 43-yard line. An eleven-yard run by Tucker Foster got them to the 32-yard line and then Reed Curlis broke through the line and outraced Danville to the end zone with 7:16 to play in the 3rd quarter. Broker Baker added the kick and Lincoln County increased their lead to 28-20.
Danville started from their own 28-yard line and converted another long fourth down pass from Cruver to Mylan Peters to the Lincoln County 30-yard line. Danville kept moving forward and got to the five-yard line where they had it first down and goal to go. From there, quarterback Dillon Cruver ran it in for the five-yard touchdown with 1:56 left in the third quarter. The two-point conversion pass to tie the score failed and Lincoln County led 28-26.
The Patriots then started from their own 28-yard line after the Brycen Mullins kickoff return. A holding penalty moved Lincoln County back to the 21-yard line. There, the Admirals blitzed as Tucker Foster dropped back to pass, and the ball was knocked loose and taken out of the air by Sasha Wade for Danville. He returned it to the 5-yard line, but a 15-yard celebration penalty moved the ball back to the 20-yard line. On the first play by Danville after that, Justin Mounce broke through the line for a sack for off-setting penalties (holding and facemask), nullified the play.
Two plays later, Bob Floyd intercepted a Cruver pass in the end zone, giving Lincoln County the ball back. On first down, Reed Curlis got one yard, then on second down, he exploded for thirty-seven yards to the Danville 42-yard line. After a gain to the 37-yard line, a penalty pushed them back to the 43-yard line. Tucker Foster was sacked back to the 48-yard line and then an incomplete pass left them with fourth down and 15 to go, forcing a punt. The snap went over Tucker Foster’s head and he ran down the loose ball, attempted to throw it away, and was flagged for intentional grounding.
Danville got the ball at the Lincoln County 22-yard line and two plays later Jayvian Meaux ran it in from 16 yards out with 6:21 to play in the game. On the two-point conversion, Danville was flagged for holding, then on the next try, Lincoln County was flagged for pass interference. On the third attempt from the six-yard line, the pass was incomplete.
At this point, Lincoln County trailed for the first time in the game and for the first time of the season. After the Danville kickoff, there were flags galore. Holding was called on Lincoln County and unsportsmanlike conduct on Danville. The ball was placed on Lincoln’s twenty-seven-yard line.

Foster then ran it down to the 16-yard line and then an encroachment by Danville moved the ball to the 11-yard line. After an incomplete pass, Tucker Foster found Clay Pendygraft in the back of an end zone for a scoring strike with twenty-four seconds left in the game. Brody Baker added the kick and Lincoln County led 35-32.
The Lincoln County squib kick was returned to the Danville 36-yard line. Danville had an illegal motion penalty that moved them back to the 31-yard line. With only sixteen seconds left in the game, Danville threw four incomplete passes, with the last one coming with no time remaining.
