A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation, according to Sheriff Shawn Hines.
Hines said Deputy Ron Luster was placed on administrative leave as of 5 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 3 while a criminal and administrative investigation is underway.
“He has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation,” Hines said Tuesday. “There will be a criminal investigation on this as well as an administrative investigation.”
Kentucky State Police is overseeing the criminal investigation.
Hines said the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office believes in transparency and details will be shared as soon as possible.
