LC grand jury hands down Sept. indictments

The following people were indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury on Sept. 12:

• Rhonda S. Herring, 55, of Lancaster: one count of theft of property for allegedly coming into control of property of another valued at greater than $1,000 on April 26 that she knew to have been lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake and failed to take reasonable measures to restore the property to the owner. Officer James Mayfield testified for the Stanford Police Department. Bond was set at $5,000. 

• Christopher L. Lewis, 38, of Crab Orchard: one count of burglary for allegedly unlawfully entering or remaining in a dwelling of Paula Terry with intent to commit a crime on May 22; one count of possession of a controlled substance; and one count of public intoxication. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Bond was set at $10,000. 

• Melinda F. Wilson, 46, of Stanford: one count of theft by unlawful taking for allegedly taking property belonging to Cole T. Sneed and Lucas Isaacs of a value of over $1,000 on June 22; one count of tampering with physical evidence; one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $50,000. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Anthony J. Durham, 35, of Stanford: one count of theft by unlawful taking for allegedly taking property belonging to Cole T. Sneed and Lucas Isaacs of a value of over $1,000 on June 22 and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Bond was set at $50,000. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Natalie Hoskins, 37, of Stanford: one count of theft by unlawful taking for allegedly taking property belonging to Cole T. Sneed and Lucas Isaacs of a value of over $1,000 on June 22 and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Bond was set at $50,000. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Nancy T. Miracle, 60, of Waynesburg: one count of wanton endangerment for allegedly operating a motor vehicle in a manner which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury upon Deputy Ron Luster on Aug. 4; one count of fleeing or evading police; and one count of resisting arrest. Bond was set at $20,000. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Christopher D. Chadwell, 43, of Stanford: one count of possession of a controlled substance (LSD); one count of possession of a controlled substance (Psilocin/Psilocybin); and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $7,500. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Gerald Burchfield, 34, no address given: one count of rape for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a minor, under the age of 16, with there being a 10 year age difference between the two, on July 6 and one count of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Anthony O. Drury, 41, of Yosemite: one count of fleeing or evading police on April 8; one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; one count of disregarding a stop sign; and failure to maintain required insurance. Bond was set at $25,000. Deputy Ron Luster testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Keisha J. Burger, 36, of Danville: one count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) on April 17. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Brandon McIntosh testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• John J. Couch, 44, of Liberty: one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (more than four grams of cocaine) on April 9 and one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (more than two grams of methamphetamine). Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Brandon McIntosh testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 

• Dana L. Cummins, 36, of Danville: one count of assault on Feb. 3 for allegedly intentionally causing serious physical injury to Margaret M. Berberick by striking and kicking her about the head and body. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Brandon McIntosh testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
