‘A busy year’: LC Jailer releases end-of-year stats

Lincoln County Jailer Griffin Harness has released the end-of-the-year numbers for the Jailer’s Office.

From Jan. 1 through Dec. 10, 2025, The Lincoln County Jailer’s Office reported the following:

Lincoln County Circuit Court transports: 618 inmates transported

Local Law Enforcement transports: 168 inmates transported

Long Distance transports: 185 inmates transported

Lincoln County District Court/Family Court transports: 24 inmates transported

Inmates Hospitalized/Doctor’s Appointments: 45 inmates transported

Time spent in hospital: 636 hours

Different Jail/Prison’s Transported to or from: 48

Inmate Work Crew Days: 95 days

“Our staff has had an incredibly busy year, and we are proud to share our annual report,” said Lincoln County Jailer Griffin Harness.

The Jailer’s Office is comprised of two full-time staff members and two dedicated volunteers, Harness said.

“Thank you to our entire staff for your hard work, commitment, and for helping make this year such a success,” he said.

Harness gave thanks to Deputy Dewayne Taylor, Deputy Casey Cromer and Deputy Brian Gregory.
