Grant is part of more than $109 million awarded by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® to support public safety across the U.S.
DANVILLE, Ky. (June 30, 2026) – As medical emergencies happen in an instant, it’s crucial that Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is equipped with the tools they need to provide lifesaving care. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® recognized this need and awarded the department a more than $20,000 grant to purchase an automated CPR device. The chest compression system will deliver uninterrupted, contactless compressions at a consistent rate and depth during cardiac emergencies, reducing first responder fatigue and increasing survival rates.
In many cases, deputies arrive at a medical emergency before EMS is able to begin treatment on the patient. This equipment will help ensure lifesaving chest compressions can begin immediately and continue consistently until advanced medical care arrives.
“We are immensely grateful to receive our second grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation,” said Michael Mullins, Deputy Chief of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. “This new equipment will allow our first responders to provide improved assistance in the event of sudden cardiac arrest or a heart attack in the Lincoln County community.”
The grant and equipment were unveiled at the brand-new Firehouse Subs restaurant on Montgomery Way in Danville that opened on Friday, June 26. This is the second grant the department received from the Foundation in the past five years, with the first awarded in 2022.

Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded more than 7,200 grants totaling over $109 million to public safety organizations.
