A Stanford doctor has been recognized as Kentucky’s 2026 Young Optometrist of the Year.
Tanner Leigh, of Stanford’s Central Kentucky Family Vision, received the award at the Spring conference hosted by the Kentucky Optometric Association.
Leigh said he is incredibly honored to receive the award.

“I credit this award to my family for their constant support, to my staff for their reliability and willingness to work hard every day,” Leigh said, “and to my patients for trusting me to be their eye doctor.”
Leigh said the award is a reflection of those who have supported him.
“…and is also affirmation to the hard work I have put in to become the best optometrist that I can possibly be,” he said.
Leigh received the award for his exceptionally dedicated service to the profession of optometry and the advancement of vision care in Kentucky.
