LC grand jury hands down indictments

A Lincoln County grand jury handed down five indictments in April, according to court records. 

The following people were indicted on April 11: 

  • Danny W. Price, 69, of Hustonville: one count of trafficking in a controlled substance (first-degree, second offense), methamphetamine, on Oct. 12, 2025; one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia; one count of being a persistent felony offender. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 
  • Jeffrey T. Knouse, 26, of Stanford: one count of theft by unlawful taking on Feb. 18 by allegedly unlawfully taking property belonging to Dustin Harmon of a value of over $1,000.  Bond was set at $10,000. Chief Deputy Michael Mullins testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 
  • Miranda L. Caudill, 36, of Stanford: one count of assault (second degree-domestic violence) on March 4 by allegedly intentionally causing physical injury to her boyfriend, Steven Cook, by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 
  • Chad E. Tate, 47, of Hustonville: two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Sept. 21, 2025. Bond was set at $10,000. Deputy Austin Price testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. 
  • Michael W. Hill, Jr., 37, of Bardstown: one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon on Feb. 10. Bond was set at $7,500. Deputy Logan Smith testified for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
