Stanford police, fire, code enforcement July activity report

The Stanford City Council received monthly activity reports from department heads for the month of July. 

The Stanford Fire Department responded to 64 incidents in July, including one fire and 32 rescue and emergency medical calls. 

SFD responded to the following:

• Passenger vehicle fire – 1

• EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury – 22

• Motor vehicle accident with injuries – 5

• Motor vehicle/pedestrian accident – (MV ped) – 2

• Motor vehicle accident with no injuries – 1

• Extrication, rescue, other – 1

• Watercraft rescue – 1

• Gas leak – 1

• Oil or other combustible liquid spill – 2

• Service call, other – 1

• Lock – out – 1

• Water or steam leak – 1

• Assist police or other governmental agency – 1

• Police matter – 1

• Unauthorized burning/fire – 1

• Dispatched & cancelled en route – 17

• Authorized controlled burning – 1

• Alarm system sounded due to malfunction – 1

• Alarm system activation, no fire – 1

• Carbon monoxide detector activation, no CO – 1

• Special type of incident, other – 1

The Stanford Police Department reported a total of 835 contacts through 911 for the month of July. 

SPD officers wrote a total of 88 citations and gave 90 warnings. There were 13 arrests made. Officers responded to 32 accidents and there were 32 incidents/cases reported. 

Since Jan. 1, SPD officers have written 652 citations and given 461 warnings. A total of 74 arrests have been made this year. 

Stanford Code Enforcement also provided a monthly report for July activity. 

Code Enforcement reported the following: 

• Porch/deck permits – 1

• Plat review – 1

• Zone Change request – 1

• Business license applications – 27 licenses were issued or renewed
