A Stanford man tripled his lottery winnings on his Powerball ticket, according to Kentucky Lottery officials.
William Elliott’s winning ticket matched the winning numbers in July, with a prize of $50,000.
But Elliott turned that $50,000 into $150,000 by adding the Power Play feature for $1.
“It’s just a dollar. You see what it did, it won me one hundred and fifty thousand dollars,” Elliott said.
The Kroger at Skywatch Drive in Danville received $1,500 for selling the winning ticket.
